The second weekend of December is Christmas Tree Day.
Saturday you look and Sunday you dress.
You may do it earlier. I am not saying you are wrong, but you are very clearly on the opposite side of right.
It also marks four weeks where the big light never goes on. Fairy lights above the window. Christmas Tree lights on in the corner. Warmth and glow radiating from everyone in the room.
It’s a magical day. As adults and children try to adorn every branch with baubles and bells. The tree dropping under the weight.
The lights worked first time. Nothing broke – tempers nor ornaments.
Christmas Tree Day was a success.
We’re still nowhere near ready for the big day… but we have passed this day with flying colours – if not lights.
Lights should always be white.
